We partner with Akdem Istanbul, premier experts in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. We offer their renowned Miftah Al-Arabiyya curriculum—a complete, CEFR-aligned program from Introductory to Advanced levels. All official certificates are issued directly from the Akdem Istanbul headquarters.

Moving beyond a sole focus on grammar, our curriculum ensures you acquire a practical balance of reading, listening, speaking, and writing. We integrate grammar with cultural awareness for genuine, usable fluency.

I would highly recommend ALC as a first choice destination to learn Arabic within the Yorkshire region. The teachers are very experienced… They have their own kitchen, wash and prayer facilities too which is a bonus.

The Spark That Started ALC
While teaching in Bradford for three years, Dr. Abdulrahman Mkia (ALC's Founder) saw students struggling. They knew grammar but couldn't hold a real conversation.
He founded ALC to bridge that gap—to teach Arabic the way it's lived, not just memorised. This commitment led to a key partnership with Akdem Istanbul.
From the very first ALC Arabic class in Bradford in 2014, our family has grown to reach over 200 learners.
